Ha fundado la primera fotogalería especializada del País, “OMEGA” en 1980, ámbito desde el cual ha desarrollado una ininterrumpida e intensa actividad de difusión fotográfica. Dicha actividad se ha canalizado tanto a través de la docencia, que ejerce desde 1981, como así también, en charlas y conferencias en distintos puntos del país y del extranjero. Fue miembro fundador y editor de la revista latinoamericana Sueño de la Razón

Dictó cursos en la Universidad de La Plata. Desde 1980 organiza y edita muestras fotográficas, individuales y colectivas, en la Fotogalería OMEGA y en diferentes ciudades del país y del extranjero. En torno a su labor de difusión ha sido miembro de varios comités de editores de muestras fotográficas. Fue cofundador junto con otros fotógrafos del NAF, Núcleo de Autores Fotográficos. En 1991, creó El CENTRO DE FOTOGRAFIA CONTEMPORANEA -CFC- , a partir de la existente Fotogalería OMEGA. El mismo consiste en salas de exposiciones, colecciones itinerantes, biblioteca especializada, colecciones de placas de vidrio y cámaras antiguas, entre otras cosas. En el CFC creó un banco de datos de La Fotografía Latinoamericana. En 1996 creó y dirigió la Fotogalería del Pasaje Dardo Rocha en 7 y 49 de la ciudad de La Plata. Su obra personal ha sido expuesta desde 1979 en Argentina y en el exterior.

Sus curaciones más recientes han sido la muestra Sara Facio - Perón, expuesta durante 6 meses en el MALBA en 2018 y de marzo a julio 2019 en el Museo Palacio Dionisi, córdoba. Recientemente ha curado la muestra de Jorge Aguirre.

Eder Chiodetto

Eder Chiodetto is a Master in Communication from the University of São Paulo, journalist, editor, professor and independent curator, having made about 100 photography exhibitions in Brazil and abroad. He currently coordinates the Atelier Fotô Center for Advanced Studies in Photography, in São Paulo, is the director of Fotô Editorial (www.fotoeditorial.com) and curator of photography at the Museum of Modern Art of São Paulo (MAM-SP). Chiodetto is the author of the books "Geração 00: A Nova Fotografia Brasileira" (Edições Sesc), "Curadoria em Fotografia: da pesquisa à exposição" (Ateliê Fotô / Funarte) and "O Lugar do Escritor" (Cosac Naify), among others .
He prefer to analyze portfolios of author essays, documentary and experimental photography. I do not read portfolios of advertising or fashion jobs.
Eder Chiodetto can help photographers in the conceptual discussion of author's work and also in editing. I organize exhibitions in which I can eventually include works that I know in the readings of portfolios that I do at festivals.

Evgeny Berezner has been a head of PhotoVisa International Festival of Photography, Krasnodar, Russia since 2010. He was also a head of “In Support of Photography in Russia” Project, run by the Iris Foundation and the Garage Museum of Contemporary Art, Moscow from 2011 to 2015. Evgeny Berezner has curated over 250 exhibitions of contemporary and classical Russian and foreign photography in Russia and other countries. He has published essays on photography in many Russian and international magazines, albums, and books. He has lectured on photography in Argentina, Bulgaria, Canada, Germany, Portugal, Russia, Slovakia, the United Kingdom, and the United States. He has been a reviewer at international portfolio reviews held in Berlin, Bratislava, Buenos Aires, Houston, Krasnodar, Madrid, Moscow, Paris, and Porto Alegre. In 2011, Evgeny Berezner led the Russian side of the curatorial group, which presented the First International Portfolio Review in Moscow for Russian, Ukrainian, and Belarusian Photographers; it took place, in collaboration with FotoFest International, at the Garage Museum of Contemporary Art. In 2012, with the same group of curators, he realized the Contemporary Russian Photography exhibitions for the FotoFest International’s fourteenth Biennial of Photography and Photo-Related Art in Houston.
Evgeny Berezner is interested in all kinds, genres and schools of photography, as well as arts based on photography. He is not interested in commercial portfolios.
Evgeny Berezner is able to offer participation in the projects that he has founded and curated to those artists who will be interesting to him. He is also able to offer a residency in Moscow

Frazier King

Frazier King is a member of the Board and of the Exhibitions Committee of the Houston Center for Photography (HCP), a nonprofit organization founded in 1981 offering year-round exhibitions, workshops, publications, outreach programs, lectures, and classes. HCP's mission is to increase society's understanding and appreciation of photography and its evolving role in contemporary culture, and produces 10—12 exhibitions annually on and off-site, balancing work by regional and internationally acclaimed emerging, mid-career, and established artists. HCP also produces SPOT magazine, a bi-annual journal of photography that includes artist portfolios, interviews, exhibition and book excerpts, and highlights on HCP members' work.

King has been on the HCP Board for fourteen years, and was Chair of the Exhibitions Committee from 2008 until September 2012. He continues to serve on the Exhibitions Committee, and participates process of selecting exhibitions. As a collector, King exhibited his collection in the second FotoFest Collector’s Eye Exhibition, shown in the FotoFest headquarters from October through December 2012. In addition, he is a widely-shown photographer, and has participated in FotoFest and other international reviews since the 1980s.

In general, King is interested in all kinds of work, but the primary focus is on current trends or themes and developments in new approaches and processes. He is not interested in viewing commercial work.

Irina Chmyreva

Photography historian, curator, art critic. Ph.D. in Art History. Since 2006 she has worked as the leading researcher at the department of Russian art of the 20th and 21th centuries in the State Research Institute of Theory and History of Fine Arts at the Russian Academy of Fine Arts. Since 2014 she has been a member of the International Association of Art Critics (AICA). Author of articles on the history of Russian photography in the three-volume encyclopedia “The History of European Photography” (2010, 2014, 2016). Her work has been published in periodicals in Russia, Europe, and the United States. Since 1999, Dr. Chmyreva has been a regular reviewer at portfolio reviews in many festivals around the world; since 2000, she has been a permanent reviewer at the Meeting Place of FotoFest, Houston, United States. Curator for festival programs globally of multiple exhibitions of contemporary and classic Russian photography and contemporary art in museums, and photography and art centers. In 2011, she was a member of the curatorial group, jointly with Evgeny Berezner, Natalia Tarasova, Wendy Watriss, and Frederick Baldwin, of the main exhibition program “Contemporary Russian Photography” — which included 186 artists and 1095 artworks— for the international biennial FotoFest 2012 in Houston. She has been art director of the International Festival of Photography PhotoVisa since its inception in 2008. Lives in Moscow, Russia.Irina Chmyreva is currently senior researcher of photography in the Department of Russian Art in the State Research Institute of Art History of the Russian Academy of Fine Arts. Previously, she worked as head researcher of the Photography and Multi-Media Department at the Moscow Museum of Modern Art (MMOMA), which is actively building the contemporary photography collection. She has organized several exhibitions of Russian old and contemporary photography for MMOMA as well as other institutions. She was co-curator with Evgeny Berezner of the show Russian Pictorial Photography 1890-1990 for FotoFest 2002 and for a number of Russian exhibitions for other editions of FotoFest in Houston. She frequently attends portfolio reviews at different international and local photo-events. Dr. Chmyreva is assistant professor (docent) at the Department of Art Book Design at Moscow State University of Printing Arts. She is co-founder of Russian web-server on photography www.Photographer.ru (1999), member of international editorial boards of the magazines "European Photography", "Fotografia Kwartalnik", she has written texts for several books and albums on Russian and foreign photography. She was guest editor of "OjoDePez" magazine, the Russian issue (#11). She was co-founder and art-director of 1st edition of PANDUS contemporary art festival in Moscow (2007) and art-director of International festival of photography PhotoVisa in Krasnodar, Russia www.photovisa.ru (2008). Dr. Chmyreva is most interested in seeing work that explores the relationship of photography to other media as well as contemporary fine art photography. However, Dr. Chmyreva is not interested in reviewing commercial work intended for stock or advertising. Aside from offering criticism and critique of the photography itself, Dr. Chmyreva can also provide advice and direction in terms of promoting projects. In exceptional cases, she is able to offer opportunities to artists in group exhibitions, projects and publications in Russia.

Durante más de veinte años me he desempeñado como Conservadora de acervos fotográficos siendo responsable del archivo fotográfico y curadora de la Fototeca de Cuba. En los últimos tres años he sido una de las coordinadoras del evento anual Noviembre Fotográfico. En 2017 colaboraré como asistente del profesor Ricardo Viera en los talleres de preparación de portafolios llevados a cabo en varias provincias de Cuba. He impartido conferencias y talleres relacionados con la historia de la fotografía y curado exposiciones de fotografía histórica y contemporánea.

Micaela Saconi

Shen Chao-Liang

Shen Chao-Liang was born in Tainan, Taiwan, in 1968. He obtained his master’s degree from the Graduate School of the Applied Media Arts, National Taiwan University of Arts. He worked as a Deputy Chief photographer for the Liberty Times, Taiwan, and currently is the adjunct associate professor at the National Taiwan University of Arts. Aside from photographic creation, he also works on photography commentary, research, and curation. Since 2014, he has been the director of the Photo Eye, Young Art Taipei, Taiwan. His major works include Reflections of Nan-Fang-Ao (2001) to the latter series of YULAN Magnolia Flower (2008), Tsukiji Fish Market (2010), STAGE (2011), SINGERS & STAGES (2013) and Taiwanese Vaudeville Troupes (2016). Shen won the Asia Award in Sagamihara, Japan (2004), the Dong-gang Photography Award, Korea (2006), the IPA (International Photography Awards) 1st Place in Professional: Book of Documentary, LA, USA (2012), and the 2015 Wu San-Lien Award, Taiwan, among others. He is interested in all fields of photography. Shen Chao-Liang can bring information exchange and advice on photographic creation and artistic event organization, and experience sharing and observation on Asian culture and recent development.

Steven Evans

Steven Evans studied photography at the Atlanta College of Art (B.F.A. 1987) and the Nova Scotia College of Art and Design (M.F.A. 1989). From 1990, he worked at Dia Art Foundation in New York, where he helped artists such as Douglas Gordon and Vera Lutter create large-scale exhibitions. In 2000, he began work on the Dia:Beacon museum in upstate New York, and he was the museum’s managing director until 2010. From 2010, Evans worked in philanthropy, planning, and programming as director of the Linda Pace Foundation in San Antonio. In 2014, he was appointed FotoFest executive director, and in 2015 he organized the FotoFest inter-biennial exhibitions I Am A Camera and Collector’s Eye: The Maloney Collection in Houston. With Wendy Watriss, he co-curated the FotoFest inter-biennial exhibition International Discoveries V. In the past year, he has represented FotoFest at photography events and festivals in China, France, Russia, and Korea. He is interested in seeing a broad range of work, from documentary and journalistic approaches to contemporary art and conceptual approaches. He ask that the works be cohesive and that the photographer is able to tell him what the work is about and why it is important to them to make this work. He is a curator of exhibitions, as well as author and editor of publications for FotoFest. He also make recommendations to other curators at times.
